Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class, Wayne Coats, Jr, is awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal
writes, "Petty Officer 2nd Class Wayne Coats, Jr. USN was recently awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service for the Armed Forces of the United States."
Petty Officer 2nd Class Wayne Coats, Jr. distinguished himself by exceptionally meritorious service while assigned as Network and Circuit Maintenance Technician, Communications and Network Maintenance Branch, and Chief Information Officer, Defense Intelligence Agency, from June 2005 to July 2008. During this period, Petty Officer Coats proved himself as an energetic and highly motivated Noncommissioned Officer and Leader. He single-handedly resolved over 3000 maintenance service requests during his three year tenure. Petty Officer Coats personally coached over 20 joint service and civilians, developing a high standard of knowledge across the section. Additionally, he created the standard operating procedures used during the Technical Control Facility site certification. Petty Officer Coats' dedication and selfless service have been more than commendable, earning him the respect and confidence of those whom he served, seniors, peers, and subordinates alike. Through his distinctive accomplishments and while serving his country, Petty Officer Coats reflected credit upon himself, the United States Navy, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Department of Defense. Wayne is graduate of NorthEast Bradford High School and he is the son of Leola Gould of Shiremanstown, PA and Wayne Coats, Sr. of Wyalusing, PA
